Participation

Applications are reviewed by our team, and we may approve, decline, or remove any affiliate at our discretion. You do not need to be a current student to apply. Affiliate accounts are created on our course platform, and participation is free.

Commission

Affiliates earn a 20% commission on purchases of The Roots and The Canopy made through their referral link. For The Canopy, commission applies to the referral's first annual membership payment only. Renewal payments do not generate commission, and no other products or services are eligible.

Tracking

Referral links do not expire. Referrals are tracked on our course platform using a browser cookie that lasts 30 days from the click. Purchases made outside that window, purchases made without the referral link, and purchases made by affiliates on their own accounts do not earn commission.

Payouts

We review each recorded commission before approving it. Approved commissions are paid quarterly through PayPal to the payout email we have on file. Commissions tied to refunded, disputed, or charged-back purchases are reversed, including after payout, in which case the amount is deducted from the next payment.

Tax forms

If your total earnings reach the level where federal tax reporting applies, we will notify you and provide a Form W-9 or the applicable equivalent to complete. You never need to track this or submit a form on your own, since we will always reach out first. Payouts that require a completed form are held until we receive it. If we do not receive the completed form within 60 days of our request, the held commissions are forfeited.

Promotion standards

When you share your affiliate link you must clearly disclose that you earn a commission, consistent with FTC guidance. Affiliates may not make earnings or outcome claims on our behalf, may not run paid ads on our brand name, and may not present themselves as Canopy Creative Co.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms or close the program at any time, with notice sent to the email on file. Commissions approved before a change or closure will still be paid under the terms in effect when they were earned.
